Simple Honey Syrup

This is the simple guide walking through the steps as to how we make a simple honey syrup. This can be used in cocktails and mocktails and we refer to it throughout a number of our recipes. We recommend supporting your local beekeeper and using a local raw honey.

Method

Measure equal parts honey and water

Gently heat water to no more than 40 degrees

Pour water over honey and stir until dissolved

Pour combined solution into a bottle and store refrigerated until required.

Add to beverages in place of using sugar simple syrup for additional flavour further to just being a sweetener. Make only what you need and use within 2 weeks.
